The Process
This infographic serves as a follow-up to the Training Protocols training offered to the competitive cyclists in our club. Upon expressing the concerns that some cyclists were experiencing stomach issues on race day, I met with our local nutritionists and club leadership to find a solution to the experienced problems. After it was determined that the issue was with the nutrition immediately prior to the event, I decided the solution was best handled as an infographic. This allowed the participants to have access to concise information in an easily accessible format.
The Outcome
Results from those that followed the guidelines proved effective in minimizing gastrointestinal distress during competitions. Multiple cyclists even set personal records after following the recommended protocols.
Takeaways
While I felt comfortable creating extensive and advanced audio/visual content, I was not as well versed in developing simple, graphic design element. This project allowed me to work on creating a succinct and impactful infographic which although simple, has had overwhelming success.
